Eugene Gray Beasley, 77, of Austinville passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. Mr. Beasley was born in Carroll County to the late Harold Gray and Annie Haynes Beasley. He is survived by his wife Barbara "Judy" Beasley of the home; daughter and son-in-law Becky and Greg Frazier of Austinville; son Jim Beasley and Tammy Mabry of Austinville; brother and sister-in-law Glen and Thelma Beasley of Austinville; sister-in-law Arlene Beasley of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren and spouses Keisha and Derrick Spence, Josh and Tina Frazier, Justin Frazier, and Ashley Mabry; two great grandchildren Sadie Mae Spence and Foster D. Frazier; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Shorts Creek Church of God at 2:00 PM with Rev. James Walker and Rev. James Witten officiating. Burial will follow in the Beasley Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
