Ethelene M. Martin, 84 of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband James C. Martin. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Sue & Rev. Mark Guest of Charlotte, NC; son & daughter-in-law Jim & Ruby Martin of Wytheville; grandson & spouse Chris & Jennifer Martin; great grandchildren Austin Martin, Cameron (Mack) Martin and Taylor Martin; brothers & sisters-in-law Jack & Margaret Martin of Bristol and Thomas C. & Juanita Martin of Hillsville; and sister & brother-in-law Freda & Loman Staples.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 11:30 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Chip Neely officiating. Burial will follow in the Dalton Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
