Ethelene Bryant, 85 of Woodlawn, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Waddell Nursing and Rehab. Mrs. Bryant was born in Virginia to the late Clifford and Etta Lineberry Newman. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Gilmer Bryant; sisters, Almeta Frazier and Delsie Farmer; brothers, Archie Newman and Arlie Newman; and grandson, Alan Bryant.

Survivors include her children, Mary Lee Johnson of Fancy Gap and Terry Gilmer Bryant off Woodlawn; sisters and brother-in-law, Juanita Barnett, Rosella Lundy, Annadean and Bobby Loville, Alfagean Newman, Guida Dee Griffin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wallace and Geraldean Newman, JC and Magdalene Newman, Joe and Audrey Newman, and Wayne Newman; two grandsons; and two great-granddaughters.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Coulson Cemetery at 2:00 PM with Pastor Harold Boyd officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Laurel Rescue Squad. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
