Ethel Marie Poff of Laurel Fork passed away on December 27, 2015 at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows in Laurel Fork, Virginia. Mrs. Poff was born in Carroll County to the late Kenny and Rosetta (Montgomery) Surratt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clair Poff; son, Dennis Poff; siblings; Clinton, Sylvan, and Rubye (Ogle); nephew, Dane Surratt; and niece, Marilyn Ogle.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Jimmy Dalton; nieces: Myra, Dianah, Andrea and nephews: Garrett, Larry, Gary, Conrad and their families.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Albert Everidge officiating at Monta Vista Cemetery in Galax, Virginia. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows for their kindness and care for both "Miss Ethel" and Dennis. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
