Ethel Marie Alderman, 81, of Galax, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Ms. Alderman was born in Carroll Count to the late Wyatt Blaine and Lila Mae Alderman. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brothers Elmo Alderman and Alvin Alderman and a sister Willadean Nester. Survivors include her sister Lillian Hawks of Fancy Gap; and several nieces and nephews and their spouses Elmo Alderman, Jr., Robert and Kathy Alderman, Mildred and Frank Weddle, Cynthia and Lonnie Anders, Debbie and Martin Amburn, David Hawks, and Mark and Sara Alderman; two sisters-in-laws, Margaret Alderman, and Alice Alderman. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 24,2 012 at 3:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Elder Ronald Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the Alderman-Clontz Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday beginning at 2:00 PM lasting until service time. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family
