Esther Mae Rigney, 72 of Fancy Gap, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at her home.  Mrs. Rigney was born in Cana, Virginia to the late Alvin and Lucy Goad.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William Curtis Rigney, Jr.

Survivors include her sons, Johnny Rigney, Teddy Rigney, and Robert Rigney; grandchildren, Austin Rigney, Maddie Rigney and Kaitlynn (Boo) Rigney; and sisters, Deborah Bryant and Mary Ann Calhoun.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Rigney Cemetery with Pastor Wendell Horton officiating.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
