It is with great sadness, that the family of Esther Phibbs Harris French announces her passing after a short illness at the age of 92 years. Her sunrise was April 6,1917 Her sunset was November 20, 2009. She was born in Hillsville, Virginia to the late Laudie and Zelma Quesenberry Phibbs. Left to cherish her memory Esther will be lovingly remembered by her Daughter, Zelma Walker and her Husband William (Corky), Deborah Sanders and her Husband Jess; Sons, Darrell Harris and his Wife Marianne, Don Harris and his Wife Reba. Brother, Maynard Phibbs and his Wife Freda. Esther was predeceased by her Husbands, Edger Lee Harris and Glenn French. She will be forever remembered and missed by 10 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandaughter, 7 week old Khloe La'Shae Ohlinger, and numerous Nieces, Nephews, Friends and Acquaintances. She was faithful to her loving lord and savior Jesus Christ and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Her favorite past times were visiting with her Family, Quilting, Sewing, Cooking and Gardening. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Vaughan- Guynn- McGrady Chapel in Hillsville, Virginia with Pastor Vince Maclsaac officiating. Internment will follow the service at the Quesenberry Cemetery South of Hillsville, Virginia. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Monday November 23, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. to celebrate her life.
