Estelle Cochran Burnette, 80, of Richmond, formerly of Hillsville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James F. Burnette; parents, Robert and Nina Cochran; and brother, Benton Cochran. She is survived by her two children Robert Burnette (Amy) and Cynthia Combs (Neal) and grandchildren, Kendyl and Brad Combs, and Abigail and Wyatt Burnette. Estelle retired from Chesterfield County Schools where she taught and loved working with children. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road (Rte 10). A second visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2013 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel in Hillsville, VA. A graveside with burial following will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Felts Cemetery in Galax, VA.
