Essie Caroline Eaton, 95 of Fancy Gap, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Eaton was born in Fancy Gap to the late John and Victoria Smith Webb. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Addison Eaton.

Survivors include her children, Sylvia Ann Robinson of Galax, Gary Kenneth Eaton of Sykesville, MD, Wanda Carol Burris of Hillsville, and Betty Lou Eaton of Hillsville; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. The family of Mrs. Eaton wish to express a very special "thank you" to the staff at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home for their loving care.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Webb Skyview Cemetery at 11:00 Am with Pastor Wendell Horton officiating. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Saturday at 9:30 AM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
