Ernestine Corns Goad, 62 of Hillsville, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2010 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Goad was preceded in death by her father Leonard Jackson Corns. She is survived by her husband Freddie Elwood Goad of the home; mother Catherine Dillion Corns of Stuart, VA; brother & sister-in-law L.J., Jr. & Regina Corns of Archer, FL; sisters & brothers-in-law Evelyn & Leo Rakes of Woolwine, Julia & F. Preston Tilley of Lottsburg, Jerlene & Terry Tilley of Stuart, and Pamela Goforth of Collinsville; 19 nieces & nephews; 24 great nieces & nephews; 2 great-great nieces.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Oscar Hill and Rev. Elmon Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Isaac Banks Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
