Erbie Thompson, 80 of Hillsville, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Golden Living Center in Galax. Mr. Thompson was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Ernie & Edith Quesinberry Thompson. He is survived by his wife Martha L. Thompson of the home; children & spouse, David Glenn Thompson, Hillsville, Diane & Jerry Caviness, of Hillsville, Charlotte Bryant, of Hillsville, Delphia Griffin, Hillsville, sister & brother in-law; Wanda & Mont Byrd, Mt. Airy, NC, three grandchildren, Jason, Anthony, Kristin; step grandchildren, Tyler, Paige, six nephews, one niece also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Hillsville Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Jeff Pickett & Mr. Darren Byrd officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
