Emma Christine Tippett Marshall, a woman known for her vivacious spirit and witty sense of humor, passed away on September 12, 2025, in Grayson County, Virginia. Born on October 28, 1945, in St. Mary's County, Maryland, Emma lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a passion for music and dance.

She had a remarkable gift for bringing joy to those around her, whether through her playful wit or her love of singing and dancing. Emma's home was always a place of warmth and merriment, where her infectious energy was felt by all.

Emma is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayne "Cornbread" Marshall, and her grandson, Shane Walton. She is survived by her five children and their spouses: Wayne Jr. and Barbara Marshall, Judy Marshall, Anthony Marshall, Timmy Marshall, and Adam and Amber Marshall. She also leaves behind two step-children, Roger Marshall and Laveda Marshall. Her legacy continues through her 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, who will all cherish her memory.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the dedicated nurses and doctors at Grayson Health and Rehabilitation and Mountain Valley Hospice for their compassionate care.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 26, at 5 p.m. at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, with Pastor Ronnie Goad officiating. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
