Emma Imogene Caviness, 89 of Austinville, passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018. Mrs. Caviness was born in Carroll County to the late Floyd and Sophie Robinson Horton. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Junior Caviness and children Danny Caviness and Barbara Waller.

Survivors include her children and spouses, Raymond Caviness of Wytheville, Richard and Alice Caviness of Cana, Terry and Diann Caviness of Austinville, Steve Caviness of Austinville, Brenda Sipe of Conway, SC and Rose Rogers of Cana; sister, Idabell Webb of Hillsville; brother, Wayne Horton of Fancy Gap; fifteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Chaplain James Cowley officiating. Burial will follow in the Parnell Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family of Mrs. Caviness.
