Obituary

Emily Louise Harmon, 77 of Hillsville, Virginia passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland K. and Beulah Phibbs Quesinberry; father and mother-in-law, Rhudy and Thelma Lawson Harmon; siblings Bernice Padgett, John Quesinberry, James Quesinberry, and Bertha (Mickey) Quesinberry.

Louise was a member of the Eastern Star, a volunteer for the blood mobile, and Twin County Hospice. She was President of the Golden Harvest Thrift Store. She was the past President of the Hillsville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Louise was a member of the Hebron Church of Christ and a former member of the Fairview Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her husband, Reiford Harmon; children, Shannon Harmon and Anthony Harmon; siblings, Buford Quesinberry, Cleveland Quesinberry, Jr., Anita Haynes, Dorothy Fleming, Rosa Mae Fields, and Juanita Brown. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Michael Shockley, Pastor Ray Bolen, Pastor Sammy Burnette and Pastor Monika Hunter officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Hebron Church of Christ.
