Emily Page Beamer, 11, of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. Emily was born in Radford, Virginia on July 9, 1997. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Don Beamer; maternal grandmother Marie King Holdren; aunt Donna Jean Beamer; and uncles Ike King and J.B. King. Survivors include her parents John & Malinda Beamer and brother Cody of the home; paternal grandmother Alta Beamer of Fancy Gap; maternal grandfather Robert Holdren of Roanoke; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. We want to send a special thanks to the staff at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Duke University Medical Center and Childrens Hospital especially our family on 5100, and Mt. Valley Hospice.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 29, 2009 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 3:00 PM with Pastor Bobby Webb officiating. Burial will follow in the Independence Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday night from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.
