Elsie Mae Jennings Ryan, 72, of Austinville, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Ryan was born in West Virginia to the late Eldridge and Lillian Coulson Jennings. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Samuel T. Ryan; son Eldridge S. Ryan; and sister-in-law Maggie Ryan. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Michael T. Ryan of Austinville, Mark and Yvette Ryan of Charlottesville, VA and Brendan R. and Annett R. Ryan of Colorado Springs, CO; brothers and sisters-in-law Sidney and Gloria Jennings of Raleigh, NC, Montie and Carolyn Jennings of Bastian, VA, Garland and Linda Jennings of Austinville, and Glen and Jean Jennings of Hillsville; brother-in-law Joseph R. Ryan of Pulaski; and five grandchildren Nikki Ryan, Sean R. Ryan, Megan Ryan, Keely A. Ryan, And Alexander B. Ryan. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel. Burial will follow in the Beasley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
