Elsie Goad Hamm, 89 of King, NC, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016. She was born on January 10, 1927 in Fries, VA to the late Joseph and Opal Lawson Goad. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Clay Hamm; son, Harold Hamm; three sisters, Kathleen Hackler, Imogene Bryant Isom, and Lucille Mastin; and brother, Jessie Goad.

Surviving are one daughter, Connie Hamm Guynn of King, NC; three granddaughters and spouses, Jody Berry and Jeff, Jana Murray and Dan, and Jessie Hollinger and Ben; seven great grandchildren, Addie, Bella and Sonny Murray; Lucy and Levi Berry, and Ethan and Clay Hollinger; six nephews and nieces, Mike Bryant, Cathy Smith, Hilda Warf, Jerry Goad, and Jed Goad. Elsie will always and forever be in our hearts.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Fancy Gap United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM with Rev. Sam Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow in the Morris Cemetery. The family will receive friends after the funeral services on Thursday at the church. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
