Elmon Walter Huff, 84 of Hillsville passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at his home. Mr. Huff was born in Carroll County, VA to the late Chester and Lola Blanche Staples Huff. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Daisy Turpin Huff. He is survived by his daughter Lola Sutphin of Hillsville; son & daughter-in-law Douglas & Bonnie Huff of Martinsville; three grandchildren & spouses Heather & Craig Stanley, Cathy & Bird Hall and Stephen & Kethia Huff; and four great grandchildren Brandon Hall, Justin Hall, Vanessa Huff, and Tatjana Huff.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Friday, August 31, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Shockley Cemetery with Pastor David Bays officiating. Masonic Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville Masonic Lodge # 193 AF & AM. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Thursday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
