Elmo Powell DeHaven, 86 of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, May 7, 2007 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. DeHaven was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. He served in the US Army during World War II. Mr. DeHaven was a mason for 50 plus years and enjoyed raising Angus cattle. He is survived by his wife Jean DeHaven of the home; sons Mike DeHaven & wife Sharon of Hillsville and Mark DeHaven and special friend Debra Nash of Hillsville; and grandsons & spouse Kevin & Donna DeHaven and Andy DeHaven all of Hillsville.

There will be a private family service at a later date and there will be no visitation at the funeral home or at the home. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Carroll County Rescue Squad of your choice.
