Elmer Arnold Edwards, 90 of Austinville, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows. Mr. Edwards was born in Carroll County Virginia to the late Oscar and Beatrice Bowman Edwards. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Helen Irene Reece Edwards; daughter, Sharon Shaffer; sister, Dorothy Lawson; and brothers, Leonard, Ray, Walter, Berle, and Guy Edwards.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Mark Sexton; three grandchildren, Annalise Sexton, Jason Shaffer, and April Shaffer and husband, Greg Dycus; sister, June Burnette; brothers, Wayne Edwards and Glenn Edwards; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 1:00 PM with Pastor Mike Reece officiating. Burial will follow in the Beasley Memorial Cemetery.
