Elmer Dean Edmonds, 60, of Galax passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Twin County Regional Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lebren Elmer and Nannie Mae Parnell Edmonds. Survivors include his brother, Robert R. Edmonds of Richmond; three sisters, Janet Taylor of Woodlawn, Alma Smith of Hillsville, and Thelma Slate of TN; special friends Teresa Dalton, Mt. Rogers Linda, Sabrina, and Rick. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Theron Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the Myers Cemetery. There will be no visitation prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Edmonds family.
