Elman Jackson Horton, 80 of Hillsville passed away Sunday, March 19, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Horton was preceded in death by his wife Gladys Sutphin Horton. He is survived by his son & daughter-in-law Wayne & Lola Horton of Hillsville; daughters & sons-in-law Kathy & Jerry Roper of Franklin, NC and Tracy & John Snelling of Boston, MA; sisters & brother-in-law Maudie Grace of Hillsville and Valda & Marvin Hawks of Hillsville; and sister-in-law Arlene Horton of Fancy Gap.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday March 21, 2006 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 7:00 P.M. with the Elder Edward Bowman officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. prior to the memorial service.
