Ellie (Ella) Rose Dalton, 56 of Sparta, NC, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at her residence. She was preceded in death by a son Johnny Mac Barbe and a brother Ralph Lyons. Mrs. Dalton is survived by her husband Maynard Dalton of the home; daughters & sons-in-law Loretta & Timothy Hawks of Madison, NC and Lorraine & Russ Cox of Galax; sons Mackey Dalton of Madison, NC and George Clifton Dalton of Sparta, NC; brothers Mac Lyons, Caleb Lyons and Jeffery Lyons all of Bluff City, TN; sisters Linda Wright and Janice Carrier both of Bristol, TN and Brenda Malone of Bluff City, TN; and two grandchildren Mason Hawks and Gabrielle Cox.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 3, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Harold Fenstermaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Gladesboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday night from 7:00 until 9:00 PM.
