Mrs. Ellen Pauley Jones, 90, of Bristol, TN passed away August 13, 2008 at NHC Health Care Center in Bristol, VA. Mrs. Jones was born in Bland County to the late William Gordon Pauley and Amanda Freelove Hancock Pauley. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Dryden and George Wallace Jones. She is survived by three daughters, Ellen Louise Wyatt and husband, Paul, of Aiken, SC, Bobbie Lee Pendergrass and husband, Carl, Jr. of Hillsville, Bess Frances Jones of Bristol, VA; son Alfred Gordon Dryden and wife, Edna, of Bristol, TN; one sister Ruth Richardson of Bland, VA; three step-daughters Nancy Slusher, Hilda Bowers and Judy Ruth Bolling all of Bristol, TN; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; step-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Robinson officiating. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery.
