Ella Catherine Saferight Worrell, 77 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Montgomery Regional Hospital. Mrs. Worrell was preceded in death by her husband Robert M. Worrell. She is survived by a daughter & son-in-law Mary & Odell Dalton of Amelia, VA; sons & daughter-in-law John & Pat Worrell of Blacksburg and Robert M. Worrell, Jr. of Hillsville; sister Mary Golden Sandlin of Monroe, MI; brother & sister-in-law Joseph Paul & Dottie Saferight of Springville, TN; grandchildren & spouse Kristi & David Taylor, Candace Dalton, and A.J. Worrell; great grandchildren Holden Taylor, Robert Clark Taylor, and Charles Dalton Rankin; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Dr. John Dunstan officiating. Burial will follow in the John P. Webb Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 12, 2008 from 7:00 until 9:00 PM.
