Ella Mae Nester, 85 of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows in Laurel Fork, VA. Mrs. Nester was born in Carroll County to the late George & Eliza Eddie Goad Largen. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Nester and a son Gary L. Nester. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Joyce & Larry Branscome of Kingsport, TN; grandchildren David Nester, Matt Branscome, and Cody Nester; great grandchildren James, Reagan, Brooke, Jacob, and Destiny; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Elder Ronald Bowman and Elder Lewis Vass officiating. Burial will follow in the Jeff Largen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
