Elizabeth Dalton Vernon, 83 of Hillsville, VA, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Stanley Total Living in Stanley, NC. Mrs. Vernon was born in Leesburg, VA to the late Jesse and Lula Stockner Dalton. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John Vernon; and siblings, Donald Akers, Iza Delp, and Emory Dalton.

Survivors include her daughters, Lynn Atkins and Angela V. Frazier (Jeff); grandchildren, Madelynn Atkins and Jo Hannah Atkins; brother, Jim Stockner (Trilby); and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Mr. E. R. Jett officiating. Burial will follow in the Felts Cemetery.
