Elizabeth L. (Granny Orange) Orange, 84, of Hillsville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 21, 2013. Mrs. Orange was born in Indian Valley, VA to the late Reverend Hobert and Olie Francis Hollandsworth Gallimore. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James H. Orange; and siblings, Blanche Marion, Reverend Earvin Gallimore, Archie Gallimore, and Astor Gallimore. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Elizabeth and Daryl Cassell of Hillsville, James and Shirley Orange of Mount Airy, NC, Bonnie and Jim Walker of Hillsville, and Jerry and Sue Orange of Blue Ridge, VA; grandchildren, Sam Gillespie, Earl Gillespie, Tammy Davis, Mary Beth Montgomery, Patricia Welch, James Orange, Amy Walker, Elizabeth Walker, Jerry Orange, Brandy Nunley, and Dana Cassell; 26 great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; siblings and their spouses, Louise and Lucas Farmer of Hillsville and Artie and Virginia Gallimore of Cana; and sisters-in-law, Verta Mae Gallimore of Fancy Gap and Lois Gallimore of Laurel Fork. Beth was a faithful member and trustee of Skyline Independent Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at Skyline Independent Baptist Church at 1065 Keno Road, Fancy Gap, Virginia on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Garry Allen, Associate Pastor James Orange and Preacher Jim Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardner Memorial Cemetery. Elizabeth will lie in state at the church on Friday, two hours prior to the funeral service. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
