Elizabeth Johnson Cox, 79 of Dugspur, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her son Freddie Cox and daughter Susan Cox Vickers. Ms. Cox is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law Sarah Cox of Dugspur, Sandra Cox of Lexington, VA, Judy & Jerry Newman of Christiansburg, and Joyce & Buster Duncan of Riner, VA; sons Randy Cox of Dayton, OH, Jackie Cox of TN and Tony Cox of Dugspur; brothers Harold Johnson of Wooster, OH and Don Johnson of Buffalo, NY; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 25, 2006 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 12:30 PM with the Pastor Tom Peters officiating. Burial will follow in the Cox Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday night at the funeral home.
