Elizabeth Christine Cassell, 76 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Pulaski Health and Rehab.   Mrs. Cassell was born in Floyd County, Virginia to the late James and Elizabeth Gallimore Orange.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Roy Lee Gillespie; and a grandson, Ronald Lee Davis, Jr.. Elizabeth was a member of the Hillsville Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Daryl Cassell; children, Earl R. Gillespie (Gina Dalton Gillespie), Tammy Lynn Davis (Gary Cassell), Mary Beth Montgomery (Greg Montgomery), and Dana Lynn Roberts (Chad Hyder); daughter-in-law, Paula Gillespie;  siblings, Bonnie Walker, Bro. James Orange, and Jerry Orange; grandchildren, April Gillespie, Christinia Gonzalez, Joshua Davis, Dustin Hodge, Jessica Gillespie, Brittany Arnold, Justin Montgomery, Brandon Montgomery, Chelsey Quesenberry, Abigail Porter, Christian Phipps, Gabriel Roberts, and Michael Crockett; and twenty great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 15, 2024 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Pickett and Minister James Walker officiating.  Burial will follow in the Bluemont Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
