Eli Luke Bowman, 19 of Woodlawn, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024. Eli was born in Mount Airy, NC on January 25, 2005.
Eli was a member of The Camo Church in Woodlawn and active in the Arrows 4 Christ Youth Group. He was a 2023 graduate of Carroll County High School, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He was attending Wytheville Community College and loved working at the Twin County Cinema. He enjoyed playing video games, anime, and all things multimedia, as well as spending time with family, friends, and his beloved dog Frodo. Eli was a light in this world with a great sense of humor and a quick wit. He led a Christ centered life and was a friend to everyone who was fortunate enough to cross paths with him. Eli impacted so many lives with his strength and kindness, always doing the right thing and was quick with a smile and encouraging word for anyone who needed it. He will be greatly missed by many.
Survivors include his parents, Brad Bowman (Kim) and Sarah Farmer (Ted) brother, Ethan Bowman; step-brother, John Farmer; grandparents, Barbara Wimmer (Roger), Wayne Bowman (Lori), Ronnie and Kitty Easter; step-grandparents, Ted and Jo Farmer, and John and Carolyn Smith; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jeremy Hendrick officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
