Elder Carbin P. Vass, 91 of Hillsville, passed away Wednesday, April 05, 2006 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Elder Vass is survived by his daughter & son-in-law Theoa & Elmo Nester of Woodlawn; sons & daughters-in-law Lewis & Betty Vass of Hillsville and Dr. Larry & Charlotte Vass of LaPlata, MD; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 8, 2006 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 A.M. with the Elder Ronald Bowman, Elder Edward Bowman, Elder Gleason Worrell, Elder Lewis Vass and Dr. Larry Vass officiating. Burial will follow in the James F. Goad Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday night at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church c/o Elmo Nester 57 Bittersweet Lane, Woodlawn, VA 24381.
