Elbert A. Culler, 82 of Hillsville passed away Thursday, May 4, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Culler was preceded in death by his parents Dewey Avery and Elva Bowman Culler; brother Melvin Culler; and sisters Leauna Griffin and Verona Bowman. He is survived by his wife Virginia Ruth Culler of the home; son & daughter-in-law Ronnie & Imogene Culler of Fieldale, VA; daughter & son-in-law Juanita & Bill Bailey of Martinsville; brother Winfred Culler of Mt. Airy; granddaughter Frieda Gusler; great granddaughter Tonya Ayers and several nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 6, 2006 at Rome Missionary Baptist Church at 3:00 P.M. with the Rev. Clarence Marshall and the Rev. Terry McMillian officiating. Burial will follow in the Rome Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday night at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel in Hillsville, VA. Flowers will be accepted; however donations may be made to the Laurel Fork Rescue Squad or Hospice. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
