Elaine W. Bass, 84 of Laurel Fork, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at her home. Mrs. Bass was born in Carroll County on September 1, 1936. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lena Levora Woods; and husband, Charles Calvin Bass.

Survivors include her children, Edith Freeman (Glen), Melvin Hall (Dorothy), Janet S. Mitchem (Donny Harrison), and Janice Davis (Patrick); sister, Eunice Hulon; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastors Sandy Hendrick and Rocky Sutphin officiating. Burial will follow in the Sutphin Cemetery in Laurel Fork. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 until 1:00 PM prior to the funeral service.
