Effie Mae Lanter Padgett, 88 of Woodlawn, passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2007 at Trinity Mission of Hillsville. Mrs. Padgett was preceded in death by her husband Sidney Padgett. She is survived by two sons & daughters-in-law Wayne & Kaye Padgett of Hillsville and Wade & Bonnie Padgett of Woodlawn; two grandsons & spouses Jeff & Terri Padgett and Mark & Monica Padgett; three great grandchildren Madison Padgett, Mac Padgett and Emerson Padgett; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Jim Longest and Elder Robert Lanter officiating. Burial will follow in the Henley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
