Edward Clinton Kemp, 87 of Hillsville passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017 at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Ethel Worrell Kemp; son-in-law, David Beamer; brother, Clyde Kemp; mother-in-law, Lala Hungerford.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Kemp of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Laura Kemp of Woodlawn, VA; daughter, Deborah Beamer of Hillsville; brothers, Howard Cecil Kemp of Reston, VA, and Wayne Kemp of Hillsville; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

A Graveside Service was held on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Little Vine Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Pickett officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC, 27017. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Kemp family.
