Edward (Ted) Cruey, Jr., 57, of Hillsville, passed away peacefully on May 26th, 2023.  He was born August 18th, 1965 to Edward and Bettie Cruey, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his sisters, Teresa Johnston and Robin Collins; sons, Travis Cruey, Kenneth (Jessica) Mares, and Shawn Mares; former spouse, Brenda Cruey; his grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Upon graduating from Carroll County High School, Ted joined the Army to serve his country, becoming a decorated Veteran.

A memorial service will be held at a later date with family and friends.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
