Edward Davis Burnett, 92 of Dugspur, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2009 at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows in Laurel Fork. Mr. Burnett was born in Carroll County to the late Irvin Austin Burnett, Sr. and Susannah Dickerson Burnett. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Garrett Burnett, Rush Burnett, Irvin Buck Burnett, and Clayton Burnett; and sisters Lorraine B. Martin, Viola B. Cummins and Iva Mae Burnett. He is survived by his brother & sister-in-law Walter & Reda Burnett of Dugspur; and sisters Mary B. Marshall of Galax and Martha West of Collinsville, VA.

A memorial service with inurnment following will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2009 at the Cox Cemetery
