Edna Opal Goad, 85 of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2010 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Goad was born in Carroll County to the late Ellis Conner and Nancy Edna Collier Quesinberry. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband James Blane Goad and grandson Larry Randall Dalton, Jr. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Virginia Lois Goad Dalton and Larry R. Dalton, Sr. of Hillsville; sister Sadie Horton of Hillsville; grandchildren Deborah Delta Dalton of Montclair, NJ and Ashley Darin Dalton of Hillsville; three great grandchildren: Bodhi Ambrose, Willow Marie, and Ayla Lily; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Elder David Kamoda and Rev. Terry Simone officiating. Burial will follow in the Isaac Banks Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
