Edna M. Farmer Howe, 94, of Six Mile, SC , widow of the late Nelson C. Howe, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 25, 2008. Born in Hillsville, VA on October 12, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Harvey and Lula Farmer of Weber City, VA.

She is survived by a son, David Howe and wife, Doris of Six Mile, SC; brother Carlyle Farmer and wife Mattie of Lenoir, NC, sister-in-law, Elizabeth Farmer of Williamsburg, VA; special care-giver, Nancy McAlister of Six Mile, SC and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Nelson C. Howe, III; brother, Heath Farmer; sisters, Mabel and Beryl Farmer and one niece.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 3:30pm in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home in Central, SC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:30-3:30pm prior to the service. A graveside service with burial following will be held at Wilkinson Memorial Cemetery in Hillsville, VA on Saturday March 29, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Edgar Farmer officiating. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Saturday morning from 10:00 until 11:00 AM.
