Edna Golden Davis, 82, of Hillsville, Virginia passed away on Saturday November 11, 2006 at Trinity Mission of Hillsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel James Davis. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Joyce Butler of Elkin, NC, Carolyn & Gene Mitchem of Marion, VA, Pearl & Sid Hill of Hillsville, Wilma & David Foreman, Sr. of Woodlawn,VA, Wanda & Mitchell Dunford of Woodlawn; grandchildren and spouses Lee Riggins, Lori & Mark Holsclaw, Ray & Becky Mitchem, David & Cindy Mitchem, John David Foreman, Jr., Samuel James Foreman, Amanda Gordon Foreman; and nine great grandchildren.

Services will be on Monday, November 13, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Vaughan Guynn McGrady Chapel, with the burial to follow in the Davis Cemetery. The Rev. Steve Hutton will be officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 12, 2006 from 7 to 9 PM at the Chapel.
