Obituary

Edmond Ralph Bond, Sr., 78 of Hillsville, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2006 in Cana. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and served in World War II and the Korean Conflict. Mr. Bond was preceded in death by his parents Bernard Howard and Ida Ellen Bond; brother Bernard Howard (Toots) Bond; and sister Emma Jane Kemp. He is survived by his wife Auga Lucille Bond of the home; daughters & son-in-law Patricia Ann Parnell of Sylvatus and Cindy & Roy Nester of Sylvatus; sons & daughters-in-law Edmond Ralph (RJ) & Debra Lynn Bond of Austinville, Ronnie & Denise Bond of Fancy Gap, and Rev. Terry Michael & Roxanne Bond of Christiansburg; special grandsons & spouses Timothy Michael and Cindy Irene Felts, Chris & Amanda Felts, and Charlie Parnell; brother Fred Bond of Sylvatus; sister & brother-in-law Peggy & Roger Clark of Pulaski; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 17, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hillsville Church of God with the Rev. Carl Forrester officiating. Burial will follow in the Bond Family Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday night at the Hillsville Church of God.
