Edmond "Squeak" Bond, 67, of Woodlawn, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. Mr. Bond was born June 1, 1947 to the late Edd and Hazel Bond. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Sandy Bond and Willie Lee Bond. Survivors include his wife, Faye Bond of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Jonda Bond of Bain Bridge, OH and Bradley and Shelby Bond of Woodlawn; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Gertrude Bond of Galax and Connie and Pauline Bond of Floyd; sisters, Sallie Hall and Dora Vass both of Hillsville; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Mike Bond officiating. Burial will follow in the Surratt Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
