Edith Hewitt, 75, of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at her home. Mrs. Hewitt was born in New Jersey to the late Harold and Elizabeth Hewitt. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her spouse, Russell Hanson; and two sisters, Carol Simpson and Elizabeth Zabachta.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, David and Karen Hanson of Brewster, NY, Chris Hanson of Clearwater, FL, and Stephen and Karin Hanson of Cape Coral, FL; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Marvin Madore of Tupperlake, NY; brother & sister-in-law, Richard and Lucille Hewitt of Liberty, NY; grandchildren, Tyler Hanson, Ryan Hanson, Kyle Hanson, and Kristopher Hanson; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
