Edith Duncan Goad, 83 of Dugspur, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2006 at Waddell Health and Rehab Center. She was preceded in death by her daughter Phyllis Phillips-Radford. Mrs. Goad is survived by her husband Hollis V. Goad of the home; sister Inez D. Muehler of Chester, VA; one grandson Steven Phillips of Indian Valley; one great granddaughter Alex Phillips; 19 nieces and nephews; one step-daughter & spouse Lois & Avis Nester of Willis; two step grandchildren & spouse Paul & Lynn Nester and Ramona Nuckolls all of Hillsville; and three step great grandchildren & spouse Timothy Rice, Adair & Mark Lineberry and Morgan Nuckolls.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Harvey Carrico officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday night at the funeral home.
