Edith Dalton, 96 of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at her home. Mrs. Dalton was born in McDowell County, WV to the late Jack & Bertie Ann Dalton. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Sherman Dalton; son Glenglee Dalton; and great grandson Bryan V. Nester. Mrs. Dalton is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law Marie Horton of Dugspur, Betty Mae Goad of Hillsville, Shirlene & Thomas Slate of Hillsville, Mary Ann & Kenneth Hundley of Satellite Beach, FL, and Regnia & Dale Goad of Dugspur; sister Elsie Chafin of South Carolina; three special friends Bridget Belton, Lucille Spangler, and Steve Spangler; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 12 great great grandchildren.

A graveside service with burial following will be held at the Nester Cemetery at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 25, 2010 with Elder Tim McGrady and Elder Jerry Nester officiating. There will be no visitation.
