Edith Bernice Castle Lyon of Hillsville passed away January 27, 2021 at Commonwealth Assisted Living in Hillsville at the age of 97.

She was born May 6,1923 in Wise County, VA to Walter Castle and Martha Austin. ln addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce Hall Jarrell; all of her siblings, lrene Casteel, Rob and Blaine Castle, "Kat" Cagle, Buenia Long, Arnilee Fly and husbands, Rush Hall, Ellis Richardson and Leonard Lyon.

She is survived by her children, Ronald Hall of Mount Airy, NC, Linda Dimick of Hillsville and Kathy Long of Holiday, FL; six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild.

There will be no services at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, VA.

Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
