Elder Eddie Haywood Bunn, 72 of Fancy Gap, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, September 22, 2023. Eddie was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved the outdoors, including working on his farm, maintaining his garden, and enjoying the breathtaking view of Pilot Mountain right from his back porch. He loved preaching God's word at Mt. Lebanon Primitive Baptist Church and Conners View Primitive Baptist Church, and valued relationships shared with each member of his church family. He found utmost pride and joy in showcasing his wife, children and grandchildren, and cherished each moment spent together. Most importantly, he was a man of God, spending daily time in God's word and prayer. He was a role model to us all and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David Haywood and Opalene Elizabeth Hill Bunn.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Shupe Bunn; children and spouses, Laura and Kendall Webb, Travis and Jamie Bunn, and Ryan and Hannah Bunn; sister and brother-in-law, Paul and Judy Wiliams; eight grandchildren and spouses, Ethan and Brooke Webb, Kayleigh and Forrest Johnson, Grayson Webb, Steven Bunn, Huntley Bunn, Hadley Bunn, William Bunn, and Claire Bunn; two great-grandchildren, Kyler Johnson and Emersyn Webb; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Elder Dan Puckett, Elder Jerry Nester, and Rev. Wendell Horton officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 25, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel.
