Earlyne Stilwell Durnil, 80 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows. Mrs. Durnil was born in Carroll County to the late Harrison and Amanda Shockley Stilwell. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Howard Durnil and several brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Durnil is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rita Durnil Akers and Dale E. Akers of Hillsville; sons and daughter-in-law, James Kennard Durnil and Linda B. Durnil of Hillsville and Kennith Nelson Durnil of Hillsville; grandchildren, Travis Dale Akers, Ryan Edward Akers, Eden Grace Durnil, and Thomas Nelson Durnil; and great grandchildren, Trenen Dale Akers and Rylee Jade Akers.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. R.J. Buttery officiating. Burial will follow in the Branscome Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
