Earl Douglas Smith, 78 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at the home of his daughter in Princeton, WV. Mr. Smith was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Troy and Susie Mabe Smith. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Alma Edmonds Smith.

Survivors include his daughter, Angela Johnson and Carlos McPeak of Princeton, WV; son, Ricky Todd Smith of Galax; brother, Willie Bo Smith of Galax; granddaughters, Logan Johnson and Laken Johnson; step-granddaughter, Miranda Keene; and father of the grandchildren, Kevin Johnson.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020 at the Mabe Cemetery at 2:00 PM with Elder Ronald Bowman officiating. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
